Refund policy

Thank you for shopping with Drakka Viking Shields.
We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase, and we aim to resolve any return or product issue promptly and fairly.


1. Return Period

We accept returns within 30 days of the date you receive your order.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

  • In the same condition you received it

  • Unused, unworn, and not used in combat or practice

  • With all original tags and accessories

  • In the original packaging

  • Accompanied by an order number or proof of purchase


2. How to Start a Return

To request a return, please contact us at info@drakkavikingshields.com with the following:

  • Full name

  • Order number

  • Clear photos of the item and packaging

  • Description of the issue

If your return is approved, we will:

  • Confirm your return authorization by email

  • Provide the official return address in Boisbriand, Quebec, Canada, along with return instructions

  • Provide a prepaid return label if the item is defective or if we sent the wrong product

Important: Items sent back without prior return authorization will not be accepted.


3. Who Pays for Return Shipping?

  • If the item is defective, damaged, or if we sent the incorrect item, we cover return shipping or provide a free replacement.

  • For all other return reasons (change of mind, wrong size ordered, etc.), the customer is responsible for the return shipping cost.


4. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery and contact us if:

  • The product is damaged

  • The product does not match the description

  • The size or model received is not what you ordered

You must notify us within 30 days of receiving the order.

To process a claim, email us at info@drakkavikingshields.com and include:

  • Clear photos of the product and the issue

  • Photo of damaged packaging (if applicable)

  • Your order number

If approved, we will offer either:

  • A free replacement, or

  • A refund processed within 15 business days

If no photo evidence is provided, we may be unable to approve the claim.


5. Handmade Product Variations

Our shields are handmade using real wood. Natural variations are expected and part of the product, including:

  • Differences in grain, texture, and color

  • Slight variations in size

  • Variations in thickness

Because these characteristics are natural, we cannot accept returns solely because the shield looks slightly different from the product photos.

6. Condition of Returned Items

To qualify for a full refund or exchange, items must be returned in new, resellable condition and must not show:

  • Dirt, stains, or water damage

  • Signs of use, wear, combat, or impact

  • Removed or damaged paint

  • Additional drawings, repainting, or modifications

All returned items are carefully inspected. Items that arrive in a condition deemed no longer resellable may be refused or only partially refunded.


7. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Gift cards

  • Sale or clearance items (unless damaged or defective upon arrival)


8. Exchanges

To exchange an item:

  1. Request a return for the original item.

  2. Once the return is approved and shipped back, you may place a new order for the desired item.


9. Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved:

  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 15 business days

  • Your bank or card issuer may require additional time to post the funds
